How to choose a sun shade tarp?
When choosing, focus mainly on the size of the area you want to cover, the density of the shading and the attachment method. A crate or windscreen needs a different size than a passenger car, van or caravan. A shade tarp helps reduce direct sunlight and create shade, but always combine it with sufficient ventilation, water and supervision.
80% or 90%?
A higher density provides stronger shading. The 90% version is suitable where you want to reduce direct sun as much as possible, while an 80% tarp offers a slightly airier compromise between shade and airflow.
Choose the size for the car or space
The silver 90% version is available from smaller sizes of 2 × 2 m and 2 × 3 m up to tarps for large cars, vans, motorhomes and caravans. Allow some extra overlap when choosing the size so the covered area can be shaded comfortably.
Attachment without complicated tying
On metal parts of the car, you can attach the tarp using rubber-coated magnets with hooks. Always adapt the attachment to the conditions, especially wind and tarp size.
For competitions, camping and holidays

What is the difference between an 80% and 90% shade tarp?
They differ in shading density. The 90% version lets through less direct sunlight, while the 80% tarp is slightly airier. Choose according to where you will use it and how much shade you need.
What size tarp should I choose for a car?
Measure the area you actually want to cover and add extra space for overlap at the sides and secure attachment. Smaller sizes are enough for a windscreen or crate, while larger versions are intended for a whole passenger car, SUV, van or caravan.
How do I attach the tarp to a car?
Rubber-coated magnets with hooks can be used on metal parts. Depending on the situation, the tarp can also be secured with other suitable fasteners. Always account for wind and attach the tarp at several points.
Can a shade tarp replace safe conditions for a dog in a car?
No. A tarp helps create shade and reduce direct sunlight, but by itself it does not guarantee a safe temperature inside the vehicle. Always provide adequate ventilation and water, check the dog regularly and never leave a dog in a dangerously overheated car.
