AlterVet – Czech dog supplements with in-house development and production
AlterVet was created to develop supplements for specific needs rather than one universal product for everything. Behind the brand is a Czech team with experience in veterinary medicine, pharmacy and animal breeding. AlterVet develops its own formulas and manufactures them on its own production line in the Czech Republic.
Joints, mobility and recovery
A significant part of the range is formed by the CARTILAN line and other products focused on the musculoskeletal system. Individual formulas combine ingredients commonly used in joint nutrition, such as glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, collagen, hyaluronic acid, curcumin or omega-3, depending on the specific purpose of each product.
Immunity, digestion and the nervous system
AlterVet is not focused solely on joints. The brand also offers products for digestive care and the gut microbiome, immunity and the nervous system. The formula always varies according to the area the particular supplement is designed for.
Mental wellbeing and targeted care
Another part of the range includes supplements for dogs exposed to short-term or long-term stress as well as other specialised products. This makes it possible to choose according to the dog's current needs, age and particular life situation.
Not one universal supplement, but a formula for a specific need
AlterVet's approach is based on the targeted selection and combination of active ingredients. A growing dog may therefore have different needs from an active sport dog, a senior or a dog whose diet is being supplemented with a particular area of the body in mind. When choosing a product, look not only at the name of an individual ingredient but primarily at the product's intended purpose, complete formula and recommended dosage. For dogs with health problems, a nutritional supplement does not replace veterinary examination or treatment recommended by a veterinarian.
