PAIKKA Seawool Shirt BROWN is a comfortable functional shirt made from innovative Seawool™ material produced from recycled plastic bottles and oyster shells.
The fleece-like back warms large muscle groups, the soft flexible belly section does not restrict movement, and the overall fit is suitable for walks, travel, rest and layering under other clothing.

What exactly is Seawool™?
The name may sound like “sea wool”, but it is not conventional animal wool. Seawool™ is an innovative textile that uses recycled plastic bottles and oyster shells.
PAIKKA states that the material has insulating, antibacterial and antistatic properties. The result is a soft, warm material suitable for functional clothing in colder conditions.
Two materials for warmth and freedom of movement
The Seawool Shirt is not made from the same textile over its entire surface. PAIKKA combines a warmer fleece section on the back with a more flexible ribbed section on the belly.
Warm back
The back, neck and thigh area are covered by a thicker, flexible material with a fleece-like look and feel. It helps keep large muscle groups warm.
Soft ribbed belly
The belly section uses a blend of cotton, Seawool™ and elastane, making it soft and allowing comfortable movement.

The back section is made from 78% Seawool™ and 22% polyester.
More flexible belly panel
The belly section is made from 72% cotton, 23% Seawool™ and 5% elastane.
On its own for walks or as a mid-layer
The shirt is suitable on its own in dry, colder weather, when your dog needs a pleasant warm layer but a heavy winter coat would be unnecessary.
In worse weather it can also be used as a warm mid-layer under a raincoat or winter coat. This makes it useful from autumn through winter and into cooler spring days.

Adjustable neckline
The neck area can be adjusted to your dog's individual build so the shirt does not stand away unnecessarily.
Adjustable rear straps
Straps around the hind legs help keep the rear part of the shirt in the correct position.
Flexible belly section
Elastane in the ribbed belly panel helps the shirt adapt to your dog's movement.
Coverage of large muscle groups
The warmer material continues across the back, neck and rear part of the body, covering large muscle groups.
It is not a raincoat or a classic winter coat
The Seawool Shirt is a warm textile shirt. It has no declared hydrostatic head, taped seams or waterproof outer construction.
For rain, therefore, use it under a suitable raincoat. On its own, it makes most sense in dry, cold weather or during rest and travel.
How to choose the size?
The most important measurement is the back length from the base of the neck between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail. Then also check the maximum neck opening and chest measurements.
If your dog falls between two sizes, for the Seawool Shirt it is recommended to choose the larger size.
The current official PAIKKA range also includes size 70. Its measurements are 70 cm back length, 64 cm neckline and 89 cm chest.
