A warm winter coat for dogs in cold, rain, wet snow and windy weather. PerusPomppa combines a durable waterproof outer material with a thick, soft teddy lining and a cut that provides extensive coverage without restricting natural movement.
The newer TRAIL version also features a practical harness opening, removable and adjustable rear leg straps, and an updated belly strap with a buckle. For even more warmth, PerusPomppa can be layered over JumppaPomppa.

Regular fit for different dog body types
The most important measurement is the back length from the withers to the base of the tail. Your dog should stand upright in a natural position. Measure the back length measure from the withers – where the neck meets the back – to the base of the tail. Measure the chest at its widest point and the waist at the narrowest part of the abdomen. For thick coats, allow room for the fur. Is your dog between two sizes? PerusPomppa has a Regular fit. If your measurements overlap between two sizes, compare both options according to body shape. Pomppa recommends the smaller size especially for slim dogs or dogs that carry their tail high. For a sturdier dog or thick coat, also check the chest and waist carefully. Pomppa's winter classic in a more practical new generation.
PerusPomppa TRAIL is a warm winter coat with a waterproof outer layer, thick teddy lining, harness opening and adjustable rear leg straps.
It protects in rain, sleet, snow and strong wind, while its construction leaves the shoulders and legs free for natural movement.

How is it different from the older PerusPomppa?
The core idea remains the same: a warm winter coat with a simple cut, waterproof outer and dense teddy lining.
The TRAIL variant belongs to the newer construction. It has a harness opening, removable and length-adjustable rear leg straps, and an updated belly strap with a buckle.

5,000 mm waterproof rating
The outer material protects the dog from rain, wet snow and winter moisture. For the current PerusPomppa, Pomppa states a 5,000 mm waterproof rating.
The fabric surface also has a water-repellent treatment that helps water run off and reduces rapid soaking.

The sleeveless construction leaves the front legs free for a natural range of motion.

The rear section protects large muscle groups and extends over the back of the thighs.

It protects the underside of the body and helps keep the coat correctly positioned.

Harness opening built into the coat
With the TRAIL variant, you no longer need to wear the harness over the entire winter coat just to attach the leash.
Functional opening on the back lets you connect the leash to a harness worn under PerusPomppa.

If the coat stays in place well without them, the rear leg straps can be removed completely.
50 N durability for active use
For the current PerusPomppa, Pomppa states an outer-fabric tear resistance of 50 N.
The manufacturer compares its durability to materials used in workwear. The coat is therefore built not only for quiet city walks but also for active outdoor use.

How to choose the right size?
The starting point is the back length from the withers to the base of the tail. Then always check the widest part of the chest and the waist as well.
PerusPomppa has a Regular fit. If your dog is between two sizes, it is not correct to automatically always choose the larger or smaller one.
Pomppa recommends the smaller size mainly for slim dogs or dogs that carry their tail high. For a sturdier dog, thick coat or planned layering, carefully compare both adjacent sizes.

Care
Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colours. Fasten the buckle before washing.
Do not use fabric softener or bleach, do not tumble dry and do not iron.
After washing, the manufacturer recommends reactivating the water-repellent treatment and, after several washes, renewing the DWR as needed with a suitable waterproofing product.
