An exceptionally warm winter coat for dogs in freezing temperatures, snow and truly cold weather. ToppaPomppa combines a waterproof outer layer, dense soft teddy lining and a separate insulation layer. This provides even more warmth than PerusPomppa.
The generous cut protects the back, neck, belly and rear areas while leaving room for natural movement. ToppaPomppa is suitable for cold-sensitive dogs, seniors, short-haired breeds and also as a warm recovery coat between sporting activities.

The most important measurement is the back length from the withers to the base of the tail. The dog should stand straight with the spine as level as possible. Measure the back length from the withers – where the neck meets the back – to the base of the tail. Measure snugly. With thick fur, allow space corresponding to the volume of the coat. ToppaPomppa is longer and looser ToppaPomppa has a back approximately 2 cm longer than other Pomppa coats with the same size marking and uses a looser fit overall. If your dog is between two sizes, the manufacturer recommends the smaller option.
Important note about this older Graphite variant The SweetEnergy product page describes the classic version without a harness opening. Therefore wear the harness over the coat. Newer ToppaPomppa Graphite also exists with a harness opening, but it belongs to a different production generation.

When an ordinary winter coat is no longer enough.
ToppaPomppa is an exceptionally warm winter coat for freezing temperatures, snow and dogs that need genuinely high thermal protection.
Unlike PerusPomppa, it combines not only a thick teddy lining but also a separate insulation layer. The result is a very warm three-layer winter garment.

How is Toppa different from PerusPomppa?
Both models have a waterproof outer layer and warm teddy lining.
ToppaPomppa additionally places between them a separate polyester insulation layer. This makes it bulkier and looser while providing even greater thermal comfort.
For truly cold winter days
Cold-sensitive dogs
Suitable for dogs without a dense undercoat, short-haired breeds and dogs that are more sensitive to cold.
Senior dogs
A very warm coat also makes sense for dogs that move more slowly and generate less heat through activity.
Breaks during sport
For well-coated active dogs, ToppaPomppa works well as a very warm recovery coat between individual activities.
Long winter waiting
It is also useful when the dog stands, waits or rests for longer periods in freezing weather.
Three layers against the cold
ToppaPomppa is constructed from a waterproof polyester outer, polyester insulation and soft polyacrylic teddy lining.
Older and newer production series may differ in the source of the polyester – Pomppa gradually switched from conventional to recycled material. Therefore, for this older Graphite version we do not state recycled origin as a certain property of the specific item.

The exact ToppaPomppa Graphite is documented with a waterproof outer fabric rated at 5 000 mm.
The surface also has a water-repellent treatment that helps water run off and prevents the outer fabric from soaking quickly.
Looser and slightly longer than other Pomppa coats
ToppaPomppa uses a Loose fit and is more generously constructed than, for example, PerusPomppa.
The manufacturer also notes that the back length is approximately 2 cm longer than other Pomppa coats with the same size marking. Therefore, if between sizes, it recommends the smaller option.
Extensive coverage without sleeves
Back and lower back
The extended rear section protects a large part of the torso and major muscle groups.
Belly
The wide lower section protects the sensitive underside of the body and also helps keep the coat in place.
Hindquarters
The longer cut also covers the thigh area without the need for legs.
Free shoulders
The front legs are not enclosed in sleeves, so the dog retains a natural range of motion.
Antistatic teddy lining
The warm inner layer consists of 100% polyacrylic teddy fabric. It is soft and dense, and the manufacturer designed it to reduce tangling and static in the coat.
This is especially practical for long-haired dogs that spend more time in winter clothing.
Reflective details
The classic ToppaPomppa Graphite uses reflective elements on the collar and rear section, which help make the dog more visible at dusk or in the dark when illuminated.
It is not a fully reflective material, so we describe these specifically as reflective elements.
Harness opening: note the Graphite generation
Pomppa only started adding a harness opening to ToppaPomppa from 2023. The current manufacturer now also lists Graphite among the colours with an opening.
This SweetEnergy page, however, describes the older Graphite version without a harness opening. For this version, therefore, wear the harness over the coat.
The newer Graphite with an opening is a different production generation, and we do not transfer its construction features to this version.
How to choose the right size?
The starting point is the back length from the withers to the base of the tail. ToppaPomppa is not cut the same way as other Pomppa coats.
It is looser and its rear section is approximately 2 cm longer than other coats with the same size marking. Therefore, if your dog is exactly between two sizes, the manufacturer recommends the smaller option.
Because of the thick teddy lining and insulation layer, also check that the dog has enough room around the body and that the coat does not restrict movement.

Care
Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Older product documentation for this exact Graphite version recommends not spin-drying and not ironing.
Wash only when necessary. The water-repellent surface treatment gradually wears with washing and can be renewed as needed with a suitable waterproofing product for functional outdoor textiles.

Is there real down inside?
No. An older SweetEnergy text uses the term “insulating down”, but the exact material documentation specifies a polyester insulation layer.
Does it have a harness opening?
The classic Graphite version on this product page is described without a harness opening. Newer Graphite versions were also produced with an opening, but they are a newer generation.
Why is ToppaPomppa larger than other Pomppa coats?
It uses a Loose fit and its rear section is approximately 2 cm longer than other Pomppa coats with the same size marking. The extra room also accommodates the thick teddy lining and insulation layer.
What if my dog is between two sizes?
For ToppaPomppa, the manufacturer recommends the smaller option because this model is looser and longer than other Pomppa coats. Always confirm the choice against the dog's build and coat volume.
