Product detailed description
Buoyancy where it actually needs to work in the water
Protector Life Jacket is a technical life jacket for active dogs that combines buoyancy, stability and freedom of movement both in the water and on land.
Non-stop dogwear placed the main buoyancy elements along the sides of the body and divided them into separate panels. This allows the back to stay lighter and more breathable, while giving the dog more room for a natural swimming stroke.
SAFE-R
Segmented side panels provide buoyancy and help stabilise the dog in the water.
SAFE-T wrap
The wide chest fastening helps fit the life jacket securely to the body.
HexiVent
The breathable upper material lets water pass through and supports ventilation.
Strong handle
Helps when lifting the dog onto a paddleboard, dock or into a boat.
The buoyancy panels are not piled up on the back
Buoyancy is created primarily in the part of the life jacket that is actually submerged in the water. Protector Life Jacket therefore uses several layers of closed-cell foam positioned along the sides of the body.
The side panels are also divided into smaller segments, allowing them to adapt more easily to the dog's movement when turning and swimming.
The aim of the construction is to combine buoyancy, stability and as little restriction of natural movement as possible.
The back does not have to be hidden under a thick layer of foam
The upper part of the life jacket uses the breathable HexiVentmaterial.
Water can pass through it, while the more open construction over the back helps with ventilation in warm weather. This means the life jacket is not unnecessarily bulky in areas where additional foam would contribute less to buoyancy.
The dog needs to be able to swim – not fight the life jacket
The shape of the life jacket leaves space around the front legs, and the segmented side panels adapt more easily to movement of the torso.
This allows the dog to use the front legs naturally during the swimming stroke and to move more freely on shore, on a paddleboard or when getting into a boat.
Close, secure fit without a narrow strap across the belly
The lower section uses a wide T-shaped fastening systemthat wraps around the dog's chest.
Subsequent tightening with the buckles allows the life jacket to sit stably on the body, while the wide contact area also helps distribute pressure.
When the dog needs help getting back up
The strong handle on the back is useful when lifting the dog from the water onto a paddleboard, dock or into a boat.
The wide chest straps help distribute the load over a larger part of the body when lifting, instead of concentrating it on one narrow strap.
There is also a reflective stripon the top of the handle.
Rear leash point + additional options on the orange version
There is a leash attachment point on the rear part of the life jacket.
On the orange / black-orange version , the manufacturer also specifies two side attachment points that make it possible to change direction and resistance. These can be useful, for example, during controlled swimming or work in the water.
Small essentials can be stored directly in the life jacket
There is a small storage pocket on the back for lightweight items you want to keep close at hand while spending time around water.
Paddleboarding
Buoyancy support in the water and a handle to help the dog get back onto the board more easily.
Boat and dinghy
Support in the event of an unexpected fall into the water and when helping the dog back on board.
Active swimming
Segmented panels and free shoulders are also designed for dogs that genuinely work in the water.
Trips around water
The lightweight, breathable construction allows the dog to move more comfortably even out of the water.
Choose according to weight and chest circumference
For Protector Life Jacket sizing, Non-stop dogwear primarily uses the dog's weight. Chest circumference then helps confirm whether the life jacket can be adjusted correctly and securely.
| Size | Dog weight | Chest | Max. buoyancy* |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1.5–7 kg | 32–45 cm | 7 kg |
| 3 | 3–7 kg | 40–56 cm | 10 kg |
| 4 | 7–17 kg | 45–65 cm | 20 kg |
| 5 | 12–22 kg | 54–70 cm | 30 kg |
| 6 | 22–33 kg | 65–85 cm | 40 kg |
| 7 | 31–47 kg | 71–99 cm | 50 kg |
| 8 | 35–50 kg | 90–113 cm | 50 kg |
* “Max. buoyancy” is a technical specification stated by the manufacturer. It is not the recommended dog weight for the given size. Choose the size according to the Dog weight and Chest circumference columns.
Securely against the body, but without uncomfortable tightness
The life jacket should fit snugly so that it does not shift around the body while swimming.
For medium sizes 4–6, the manufacturer recommends approximately two fingers of space between the life jacket and the dogaround the neck. With small sizes the allowance may be smaller, and with large sizes slightly greater.
Wrap the SAFE-T system around the chest, fasten the buckles and tighten evenly. The rear chest strap can remain slightly looser than the front one.

Protector Life Jacket at a glance
Rinse after water use. Hand wash only.
After use in salt or chlorinated water , always rinse the life jacket with clean warm water.
The manufacturer recommends hand washing only and then drying in a warm, well-ventilated place, but not in direct sunlight.
Do not bleach, iron, tumble dry or dry clean the life jacket.
A life jacket does not replace supervision
A correctly fitted life jacket adds buoyancy and can make it easier to help the dog in an unexpected situation, but always supervise your dog around water.
Take extra care in flowing and open water, low temperatures, waves and during prolonged swimming. Before entering the water, always check the fastenings, strap adjustment and condition of the life jacket.
