A lightweight life jacket that adapts to your dog's body
Hurtta Life Savior ECO combines laboratory-tested buoyancy, soft flexible flotation panels and a wide range of adjustment.
It is designed for swimming, boating, paddleboarding and other water activities. The soft construction follows the dog's body and is designed not to restrict natural swimming movement.

Buoyancy that the manufacturer actually tests
Life Savior ECO is not based only on a general claim that it “helps the dog swim”. Hurtta states that its buoyancy properties were laboratory-tested at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
The jacket meets the requirements of EN ISO 12402-5:2006 used for buoyancy aids. This is why the dog's weight is also essential when choosing the correct size.

Softer and more flexible buoyant material
In the new generation of Life Savior, Hurtta uses extra-soft and flexible flotation panels. The material adapts to the shape of the dog's body and helps distribute buoyancy evenly.
The construction is designed to provide support while still leaving the dog enough freedom for natural swimming movement.
A design thought through beyond buoyancy alone
Sturdy handle
The handle on the back is intended to help the dog out of the water and onto a dock, boat or paddleboard. Its tensile strength has been tested according to SFS-EN ISO 13934-1.
Stainless-steel O-ring
Next to the handle is a sturdy stainless-steel ring for attaching a leash.
Close-fitting belly section
The wider support section under the belly helps stabilise the jacket and distribute its contact with the dog's body.
Quick fastening
Strong quick-release buckles and adjustment points on the chest make the jacket easy to put on and adjust.

How to choose the right size
For Life Savior ECO, Hurtta recommends starting with the dog's weight. The buoyancy of each size is designed for a specific weight category.
If your dog's weight falls exactly between two options, the manufacturer recommends choosing the larger size. Then also check the neck and chest circumference.

Adapts to both slimmer and more robust dogs
Hurtta redesigned the adjustment of the front section so the jacket can be fitted more precisely to different body types.
The system offers approximately 20% adjustment across three points. Excess strap ends can be tucked away so they do not get in the way during movement.

Before the first longer activity, check how the jacket sits on the dog on land and in shallow water.
Recycled materials without changing the jacket's main function
Hurtta states that Life Savior ECO contains 80–100% recycled materials. Both the outer and lining fabrics are made from 100% recycled polyester twill with mechanical stretch.
The woven straps are also made from 100% recycled wear-resistant polyester.
The handle is for assistance, not for carrying the dog
You can use the sturdy handle to help the dog out of the water and onto a dock, boat or paddleboard. However, the manufacturer explicitly states that it is not intended for routinely carrying the dog by the jacket for extended periods.
Reflective details and visibility
The jacket has several reflective details with a reflectivity of approximately 400–450 cd/m². They help increase the dog's visibility in poorer light conditions.
When choosing a colour, also consider the environment where you will be using it. A high-contrast jacket against the water surface can be practical during water activities.
Caring for the jacket
The manufacturer recommends hand washing. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean the jacket.
After swimming in the sea or chlorinated water, it is practical to rinse the jacket with clean water and let it air dry.
