Measure your dog’s back length from the area between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail.
How to measure your dog
Your dog should stand naturally and straight. Do not pull the measuring tape tight.
Main measurement: Choose the size primarily according to back length, then check neck and chest measurements where listed.
Between two sizes: Choose the larger size and use the adjustments to fine-tune the fit.

PAIKKA Visibility Raincoat Lite YELLOW is a lightweight waterproof dog raincoat combining a 10,000 mm waterproof rating, a fully reflective surface and a lightweight mesh lining.
The bright yellow colour improves visibility even in normal light. When headlights or another direct light source hits the coat, the entire outer material also reflects strongly.

Lite: rain protection without unnecessary warmth
The Lite version uses a lightweight polyester mesh lining. Compared with the classic Visibility Raincoat with its warmer wool-blend lining, it therefore adds significantly less insulation.
It is suitable for rainy days during the warmer part of the year and for active dogs that heat up quickly when moving.
Lightweight construction, full rain protection
Low weight does not mean PAIKKA has compromised on water protection. Raincoat Lite combines waterproof material, taped main seams and a protective hood.

The waterproof material protects your dog in rain, wet grass and changeable weather.
Taped main seams
They help reduce water penetration where the individual parts of the coat are stitched together.
Lightweight mesh lining
It is made from 100% polyester, dries quickly and does not add unnecessary insulation.
Waterproof hood
The neck area can be adjusted and raised for better protection from rain.
Zipped harness opening
The harness can stay under the raincoat and the leash can be attached through the opening on the back.
Adjustable rear leg straps
They help keep the rear of the raincoat in place while running and in windy conditions.
Yellow for daytime visibility, reflective for dusk and darkness
YELLOW already has an advantage thanks to its bright colour. Your dog is more noticeable in normal daylight, at dusk and in poor weather.
When direct light hits the coat, the entire main outer material also reflects strongly back towards the light source. The reflective effect is therefore not limited to a few strips or a logo.
How to choose the size?
The key measurement is back length from the area between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail. For dogs with a typical build, PAIKKA recommends using back length as the primary guide.
The coat length can be shortened by adjustment by up to approximately 5 cm. For slim or, conversely, broad-chested dogs, also take body circumference and overall build into account.

Care
Machine wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, inside out and with similar colours. Do not bleach, use fabric softener or dry clean. Do not tumble dry or iron.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Raincoat Lite and the classic Visibility Raincoat?
The Lite version has a lightweight 100% polyester mesh lining. The classic Visibility Raincoat uses a warmer lining. Lite is therefore better suited to warmer weather or active dogs.
Is the entire raincoat reflective?
Yes. The entire main outer material is reflective, not just individual strips.
Can the dog wear a harness under the raincoat?
Yes. There is a zipped opening on the back through which you can attach the leash to a harness worn under the raincoat.
What if the dog is between two sizes?
PAIKKA recommends considering not only back length but also your dog’s body type. The back length can be shortened by adjustment by up to approximately 5 cm. If you are unsure, use the Size & Fit Advice service.
Is it suitable for warmer weather too?
Yes. The lightweight mesh lining does not add significant insulation, so Raincoat Lite also makes sense on warmer rainy days.
