PAIKKA Slow Feed Bowl CONCRETE combines a 3D slow-feeding design with self-cooling Magisso® ceramic.
Your dog has to work around the raised shape inside the bowl to reach the food and therefore cannot simply scoop up a large amount at once.

The name CONCRETE primarily describes the minimalist grey appearance. The bowl itself is not made from concrete.
The material is 100% cooling ceramic using licensed Magisso® technology. You get the look of raw concrete with the properties of a ceramic bowl.
How does Slow Feed Bowl slow feeding?
A prominent 3D shape in the centre of the bowl divides the feeding area. Your dog has to eat around it and cannot access the entire portion in the same way as from a flat bowl.

The raised shape limits the area from which the dog can immediately scoop up food.
More work for the nose
Your dog has to find a suitable route to the food around the individual parts of the 3D structure.
For dogs that gulp their food
The design makes the most sense for dogs that can finish a regular portion very quickly.

Self-cooling Magisso® ceramic
The cooling effect requires no electricity, battery or special cooling insert.
Before use, simply soak the bowl for approximately 45 seconds in cold water or hold it under cold running water. The ceramic material is activated and then stays cooler for several hours.

How do you activate the cooling effect?
For approximately 45 seconds immerse the bowl in cold water or soak it thoroughly under cold running water.
If you only want to slow feeding, activating the cooling function is not necessary.

The bowl is dishwasher safe. Position it so it cannot move freely during the dishwasher cycle or knock against other dishes.

No. CONCRETE refers to the colour and visual finish. The bowl is made from 100% cooling ceramic.
How does it slow the dog down while eating?
There is a raised 3D shape inside the bowl. Your dog has to work around it to reach the food, so the whole portion is not as easy to access as in a smooth bowl.
Does it need to be soaked before every meal?
No. Soaking is only used to activate the cooling effect. Without it, the bowl works normally as a Slow Feed bowl.
Does it need a freezer?
No. Cold water is enough to activate the cooling ceramic. No freezer or separate cooling insert is needed.
How long does it stay cool?
